• Visual checks to all components and parts, to detect wear at an early stage.
• Fuse rating of appliance.
• Checks to flue systems to ensure no blockages and all products of combustion are being safely removed.

• Burner pressures will be taken and adjusted if necessary, in accordance with manufacturers instructions or data badge.

How Can I Make My Heating System More Efficient?

Fitting a Room Thermostat can save 30% on heating bills.  A thermostat can be fitted on any system.  There are two main types:

1.  Mechanical:  it is cheaper to install and very simple to use but will have to be connected to the boiler with a cable.

2.  Radio Frequency:  it is slightly more expensive but can be attached to a wall or sit loose on a shelf and placed in any room of the house.  It is easier to install and more accurate.

 

 How Can I help Prevent Sludge?

One way is to fit a Magna Clean Filter.  This is suitable for all central heating systems.  In order to achieve the best protection for the boiler, it is recommended that it is fitted after the last radiator on the circuit before the boiler.  The filter must be serviced once a year at the same time as your annual boiler service.  The Magna Clean Filter is designed to last the lifetime of your boiler (normally 10 to 15 years).
